Application Directions

To assist you in completing your application, the directions below explain each step of the process. This information has been arranged to serve as a checklist that you can use to ensure that you have supplied all of the required information.

Step 1: Complete the Eastern Kentucky University Online Application.

• Select “Restricted Online Programs” in Application Type. If you select any other online application type you will be required to complete the online application again.
• The $30 application fee can only be paid by Visa or MasterCard. Your application will not be reviewed or processed if you do not submit the non-refundable application fee.
• Complete the online application at: http://www.apply.eku.edu.

Step 2: Submit Official Undergraduate Transcripts.

• You must send official transcripts from all colleges/universities that you have attended
• Transcripts must bear the original signature of the authorized official with the seal of each institution
• Official transcripts must be sent to EKU Off-Site Admissions Center directly from the college or university
• Transcripts sent to a student and then forwarded to EKU Off-Site Admissions Center will not be accepted
• International Students are required to submit official transcript evaluations in addition to original

Step 3: Submit official test scores for the ACT or SAT Exams.

• If you are a certificate seeking student you must provide official ACT or SAT exam scores.
• Information regarding sending official ACT scores can be found online at http://www.actstudent.org/scores/send/index.html
• Information regarding sending official SAT scores can be found online at http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/scores.html

Step 4: International Applicants: Submit Official Scores for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

• International students are required to submit official TOEFL scores
• Students applying to the FSET program must have a minimum TOEFL score of 500 (paper) or 173 (computer)
• More information about these tests can be found at www.toefl.org
• International Students are required to submit a completed financial declaration form
• Must get all international transcripts evaluated by World Education Service (WES), www.wes.org.
