ABOUT US
Eastern Kentucky University was founded in 1906 as a school for teachers and the first graduating class had only eleven members.
Over the last one hundred years, we have grown to a full-fledged university that offers 168 degree programs and serves more than 15,500 students each year. Eastern Kentucky University provides all of the opportunities available at other large state schools but maintains that small school feel by continuing to focus on a true sense of community.
