Faculty members in the Fire and Safety Engineering Technology program are nationally and internationally known for their teaching, research and dedication to the fire and safety fields. However, these professional educators do not take the ivory tower approach toward their teaching methods.

They are active in numerous professional organizations including: the National Association of Fire Investigators, National Fire Protection Association, International Society of Fire Service Instructors, International Association of Arson Investigators and the International Association of Fire Chiefs.

In addition, many faculty members are active in fire departments in their local areas, while others bring years of industry experience as fire and safety experts. By staying connected to the industry, they maintain constant contact with the professional fire fighters who are utilizing the latest in modern fire safety and engineering technology every day.
